Our restaurant is the realization of a dream we’ve shared for years: to create the kind of neighborhood place where people feel at home. After building our careers in some of the country’s most celebrated kitchens and dining rooms, we’re excited to bring that experience to our community.
Chef Tommy, a Louisiana native, honed his craft at Commander's Palace in New Orleans before bringing his talent to Maison Premiere in Brooklyn. Kaitlyn, a Brooklyn native, began her hospitality career alongside Tommy at Commander's Palace before continuing at Jean-Georges’ three-Michelin-star flagship restaurant in New York City. With Kaitlyn’s family ties to Bovina dating back to the 1960s, we were thrilled to finally call Delaware County home when we moved here in 2020. Our family grew last summer when we welcomed our son, Waylon.
At The Finchnest, you’ll find a welcoming place for every occasion, whether it’s a burger and a beer after a day of work or fishing, a leisurely dinner with friends, or a special celebration. Our menu will be guided by the seasons, inspired by the incredible farms and producers of the Catskills, and shaped by our travels and our shared love for Louisiana. We’re excited to bring the knowledge and hospitality we’ve gained in some of the country’s finest restaurants to a place that values genuine connection, great food, and a come-as-you-are attitude.
